Every Once in a While

I think I am doing a good job at this whole "motherhood" job.

I found this piece of paper in Avery's room on her desk. It made me so happy. I hope she still feels this when she is 16, 20, and even 40.....

Some things I've been working on:

All things Grace:

Grace walks (and runs) on her tiptoes a lot

Grace loves preschool and loves to write and learn. She can write her name.

Grace calls oatmeal "oppameal"

Grace just learned to ride a bike with training wheels. And is already trained in the art of two wheel scooter riding.

Grace is very kind to babies.

She loves to play with squinkies, barbies, and little petshops

Grace loves to watch Dora

Grace loves music and is very opinionated in the car when we listen to my music.

Grace can be pretty stubborn

You can usually find grace right under my feet.

Grace loves to climb into bed with Avery in the middle of the night.

Grace knows that my favorite part of the day is when we "snuggle up" and lay down for a nap.

An Easter Picture

Why is taking pictures always an after thought for me?? This was after church and the shoes had already been taken off.

We headed to my parents to celebrate Easter with what else but a frozen lasagna. (my parents were headed to LA bright and early the next morning so it only made sense.... more pictures from that trip to follow.)

Our First...

CAST!!!! and Our first trip to the ER! Who would have imagined it would be Grace....not Jake or Avery. And all from falling off a two foot high utility box in the front yard. She fell right on her elbow and got a Supraconylar Fracture of the Humerus (the bone right above her elbow). The Doctors originally thought it may need to be pinned, thankfully, we are just in a cast for 3 weeks. Unthankfully: we will be on a family vacation for one week of that!!!

A Random Tuesday Night

We went to see Mindy Gledhill last night, Brian, I and about 250 other girls. Brian can be such a trooper! In all seriousness, we both really enjoyed it. It's hard to screw up live music for us. I had seen her new video on line a few weeks ago and saw that she was touring up in Oregon. I thought to myself how that would be so cool to go see her perform.... and then thought wait, why don't I go see her perform. The concert was at the Venetian in Hillsboro, an intimate theatre with great seats for all. I could have had some great pictures.... had I brought my camera. The below are taken from Brian's blackberry For her last song she had all the kids in the audience come up on stage to help her perform....so cute. Most of the girls were just beaming. Had it not been on a school night, I would have loved to have brought Avery
