A Week At The Beach

A week at this place:
With this view:
We even brought her:

Our first day there, we walked through the cave.
The kids at the North entrance:

Then back to the cabin to play on the ladder
The next day we stopped at Cape Mears Lighthouse. The coastal fog is something spectacular.
Running down the trail to the lighthouse.

I had to add the below picture. We went into the Pioneer Museum in Tillamook, and I gave Brian the camera while I took Grace to the restroom (she is now potty trained!!!!). I told him to take some pics of the kids...... This was the one of two pictures on my camera.... the other one was of guns.

So many stuffed animals.
Jake and Brian hiked Cape Lookout one day. Pretty impressive for a 8 year old. It's more than five miles! I think Cassy almost died....
Pretty muddy:

At the Lookout, Brian said that Cassy didn't move for 25 minutes.

Showing Dad the treasures:

The hillside:

The next day in Girabaldi with the pirates:

Found this little sunny spot in Barview just north. You can see the fog covering Oceanside...
The girls had make-shift bathing suits.

The last day we were there it was 85 degrees on the beach with no wind. Just heavenly. The kids and Cassy actually got in the ocean.

My favorite picture of the moment. They aren't like this very often.

A wonderful week at the Coast. I was really sad to leave.

From the Same Family

My Mom and Dad brought their mustang down to see our mustang. And in true Dad fashion, we had to go take pictures of the cars together. My Dad loves cars, he has photo albums of pictures of the cars he's owned, so this was only appropriate.

On the way home the girls road in the convertible (top down), we stopped for ice-cream and listened to Taylor Swift, B.o.b., and La Rouex with the girls singing at the top of their lungs. I looked at Avery and said, "honey, it doesn't get any better than this!".

Salt Lick

We went here for the weekend: (This is the image that pops into my head at the mention of Salt Lake).
Avery rode on this for the first time ever:

We went to see this little guy:
Look at the joy in her face:

We also got to see this guy ( who I just LOVE ):

My old stopping grounds:

I spent more time in this building than I can count (the Psych Building):

Visited this place with Dad and the kids:

Such cool things:

Heard the pin drop and the paper rip:

Star of David:

Also visited Lehi, where a lot of my ancestors are buried. This mill is here, also the place that the movie "Footloose" was filmed....

Four generations of Leland Andersons:

And the official reason we were there: Owen's Baby Blessing.
Got to meet Maggie's family. What wonderful people.

Will loves this kid something fierce:

Then got to head to Park City to visit my best friend from College. Sad and embarrassed that I got NO pictures of us! How dumb...... I'd rather have a picture of us than scenery.... but this is what I grabbed. It really was an amazing sunset.

And all of this on an extended weekend..... I'm tired from my vacation. But very fulfilled.
Thank you dad for helping to make all of this happen. I love you.
